artishock is a website about contemporary art with an emphasis on the visual arts scene in Chile and Chilean artists living abroad. Its objectives are to expand the visual arts in Chile, to support young emerging Chilean artists, to promote the projects of established artists from Chile and to provide information and analysis on international contemporary art, particularly in Latin America.

The magazine is online since last November 27, 2010, with support from Fondart, 2010, National Council for Culture and Arts of Chile. (Consejo nacional de la Cultura y las Artes, CNCA)

Through its various sections, artishock offers reviews, interviews, articles, news, essays on major art fairs and biennials, texts written by artists, conversations between artists, portfolios selected by an open call, visits to artists’ studios, and galleries images and videos on international events of great impact.

The magazine has a diverse Editorial Committee and a staff of contributors from different fields: curators, art critics, art historians, journalists and artists associated with the academic, creative and cultural management areas. artishock thus offers a broader and plural onverview on many subjects.
