Born in 1968 in Chile
Lives and works in Santiago de Chile
In May of 2000, I moved to Japan where I was invited to participate in the artist-in-residence program offered at the Center for Contemporary Art’s Research Program in Kitakyushu and in 2003, I was invited by Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart, Germany. The series of work I made through my artistic research at CCA and later at Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart, were focused on exploring my presence in this new landscapes and territories examining the concept of “order and disorder” from the point of view of the Garden; in particular Zen Gardens. Since this time, all my artworks explore the idea of marking identity, expressed in the use of found objects for the construction of the installations, and the intervention and collaging of diverse elements for my photo collages or geometrical paintings.
