Lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina
As an artist I evoke the tree structures from “El Prado”, a tipical neighborhood of Montevideo where I lived as child. That is my world. Through time in my memory the tree structures show up as a sign and paths which reminds and refer to caligraphy or paintings from far east. It is shown an extreme freedom of construction schemes with limited use of color, achromatic almost reminiscent of the informality and lyrical abstraction of other painters before.
The paths are characterized by touches of color rather than the drawing, which undoubtedly convey my emotional state. My intention is to transmit the experimental emotion of the passage of light between the branches of the trees and if it were unique and unrepeatable moment that must be documented. It is built up of great simplicity and refinement which lead us to a state of emotional calm.
This is contemporary abstractions where I use ink, acrylic and oil on different media: fabric, paper, paper maps and photographs, in works that could be defined as experimental and perfection, which is extremely useful to participate.
