FLORA ars+natura – residency
Founded in 2013
Director : José Roca
FLORA’s residency program, Permanent Summer, is held in Honda, Tolima. This town was very important during colonial times and the dawn of the republic due to its strategic situation as the main port on the Magdalena river. The guest artists stay at Casa Deuxsoleils for a month, and then present the partial results of their project as an event for the local public. An expanded version is subsequently presented at FLORA’s exhibition space in Bogotá.
Since its beginnings FLORA’s residency program received: Carlos Garaicoa(Cuba), Mark Dion (Canadá/EEUU), Víctor Gama (Angola/Portugal), Max Gómez Canle y Matías Duville (Argentina), Lucia Koch y Rodolpho Parigi (Brazil), William Engelen (Holand), Tania Candiani y Eduardo Abaroa(México) y Raura Oblitas (Perú), Javier Bernal-Arévalo, María Luisa Vélez y Felipe Rodríguez (Colombia).
FLORA ars+natura is also a space dedicated to contemporary art in Bogotá
