Yautepec
Founded in 2008 in Mexico City, Mexico
Directed by Brett W Schultz and Daniela Elbahara
Yautepec is a contemporary art gallery in Mexico City, founded in 2008 by Daniela Elbahara (Monterrey, 1978) and Brett W Schultz (Chicago, 1978). It represents a group of emerging and mid-career artists whose practices exist deliberately in a state of formal and conceptual in-betweenness, consistently stepping across –and occasionally outside of– established artistic disciplines. By providing these and other invited artists with an active space for experimentation, risk-taking, and growth, Yautepec’s goal is to offer a consistently engaging and challenging program of exhibitions for its viewing public.
