Melina Berkenwald

Lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Melina Berkenwald works with multiple techniques and media according to each project that she makes.
A connection to drawing and writing can be found throughout her practice, and to concepts that relate to the gaze and the observation, time and memory, mental and real landscapes, and psychoanalysis.
Berkenwald often uses processes that delete, cut off, reframe or redefine images, spaces and surfaces, using a conceptual approach that allows for a slow and detailed process-based methodology that privileges subtle qualities that achieve complex results.
