Estefanía Peñafiel Loaiza was born in Quito, Ecuador, and works and lives in Paris since 2002.  She works in different medias and languages : installations, video, site projects, performance, photography…  Among her main conceptual axes we find a particular interest for history, latent memory, desplacements,  the relations between images and language, sight, perspectives and point of view, the visible and the vision, the seen and unseen. Her work make often reference or echo to social, historical and political issues.
