Dino Real

Dino Real is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Costa Rica that graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2012. Dino has lived in Vancouver, Baltimore, and New Orleans and has traveled extensively around North America and Europe. He uses traveling as a means to build community around the world.  His work is mostly a combination of ritual + performance, costumes, installation and painting. He is the creator of the Krewe of Real in Costa Rica.

His interests delve mostly anything creative, esoteric and celebratory including: embodying archetypes, making articles of clothing, elaborating indoor and outdoor mural and activation spaces, directing, modeling and collaborating on editorial photo-shoots, hosting and throwing events and parties, performing and collaborating on parades and happenings, reading oracle cards and the tarot, and hosting fellow artists from around the globe wherever he is based.
