Baró gallery is a contemporary art space recently located in a 1500 square meters warehouse at the Santa Cecília neighbourhood, São Paulo. The mayor focus of the gallery is the production of established North and Latin American artists with a strong development in the European countries. The gallery also invests in the intersection between young art productions and an annual open call for a group show. In the Brazilian art circuit Baró gallery is responsible for exhibiting upcoming artist’s works and promoting cutting edge projects.
The gallery is located at contemporary art São Paulo’s new centre and one of its objectives is to reinvent and propose new situations within the community with the intend to revitalize the neighborhood. Baró has a residency programme as well to invite international artists to exhibit their different researches with the goal of creating new perspectives for the local art market working together with the Brazilian art scene.
Baró gallery participates in renowned international art fairs such as Art Basel Miami Beach, Miami/USA, Frieze Art Fair, London/UK, SP-ARTE, São Paulo/Brazil, ARCO, Madrid/Spain, The Armory Show, New York/USA, among others.
